Mantras for Complex PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder), childhood trauma

December 10

One aspect of childhood PTSD is often the lies that we hear, on a daily, and often hourly basis.

One way to reprogram ourselves is to overide those memory with good ones.

Using the Nudge Clock from this site, you can configure it to repeat sentences every minute, and listen to them throughout the day.

Here's an example of a sentence I wrote and that I listen to on a regular basis.

You are a great awesome guy....
You are intelligent.
You are loved.
You are sweet.
You are clever.
You have a great smile.
The world respects you.
You are a deep thinker.
You are generous.
You are loved.
You have a great sense of humor...

Hearing sentences like this is good.  But if you spend the time to really feel it, it can be even better.

If you come up with a sentence of your own, I would love to know, you can paste it in the comments section below.
